Call for Speakers – Northwest Perianesthesia Nurses' Association (NPANA) Fall Conference 2025 (located in Boise ID)

Dear Colleagues,

The Northwest Perianesthesia Nurses Association (NPANA) invites passionate and knowledgeable speakers to present at our upcoming Fall 2025 Conference, scheduled for September 26 - 28th, 2025, in Boise, ID. This event brings together perianesthesia nurses, anesthesia providers, and healthcare professionals to advance best practices, enhance patient care, and foster professional growth.

NPANA represents perianesthesia nurses across Idaho, Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Oregon, striving to provide premium education and professional development to advance our field. Our mission is to ignite the SPARK in perianesthesia nursing—through:

Service – Empowering members through service and collaboration.
Professionalism – Upholding ethical standards, ongoing education, and compassionate care.
Accessibility – Ensuring all members can access NPANA’s resources and benefits.
Recognition – Elevating and promoting excellence in perianesthesia nursing.
Knowledge – Fostering continuous learning, innovation, and education.

We are seeking expert speakers (MD or RNs)  for the following highly requested topics:

  • PACU Emergencies
  • Pediatric Considerations (including Airway & ENT from a Pediatric Surgeon)
  • Assessments in Perianesthesia Nursing
  • Postoperative Nausea & Vomiting (PONV)
  • Anesthesia Considerations (including Marijuana & Anesthesia)
  • Pain Management Strategies
  • Pre-Admission Testing (PAC/PAT)
  • Nerve Blocks & Regional Anesthesia
  • OR RN Role & Patient Positioning in the OR
  • Diabetes Management in the Perianesthesia Setting
  • Interpersonal Skills (Communication, Leadership, Peer Coaching, Professional Growth)
  • ASPAN Standards & Best Practices
  • Spine & Nerve Stimulators
  • Transgender Patient Care in Perianesthesia

We welcome proposals from clinical experts, educators, researchers, and policymakers who can provide valuable insights and practical applications. Presentation formats may include lectures, panel discussions, or workshops.

  • Name, credentials, and professional background
  • Presentation title and abstract (250 words max)
  • Learning objectives
  • Preferred format (lecture, panel, workshop, etc.)
    • Can submit a file with a presentation if you have one!
