NPANA AWARD deadline coming up soon …

It’s that time of the year to start thinking about those amazing NPANA member nurses, who have gone “above and beyond” and have contributed to NPANA more than we can thank them for.  If you want to nominate someone, please send an email to npanapresident@gmail.com explaining why you feel that nurse deserves the award (no special form required). Nominations are submitted to the NPANA Board prior to Fall Conference.

Jean Sutton Award

To learn more about each award requirements please visit look under the “About NPANA” tab and then select “Awards” or type on your browser: https://npana.nursingnetwork.com/page/95272-awards.

Here is Aug/Sept Off the Cuff Newsletter.  I hope that you take the time to view it, here is a little preview of what NPANA and Salem Hospital PACU and Pre/Rec nurses did in their community:

In August, Salem Hospital’s Prep/Recovery and PACU nurses organized a “Back to School Supply Drive” to support a local Boys and Girls Club (located in Salem, Oregon)  that supports families to get their children ready for the coming school year.

Thank you to all the nurses who contributed to this cause! Nereyda Leder (blue shirt) and Lori Erni (pink shirt) dropped off the supplies to the club and had an opportunity to take a picture with a staff member and local kids.
